Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 June 2026
The short version
Latch converts and processes your files entirely inside your browser. No file — not a single byte of its content — is ever sent to our servers or any third party. We cannot access your files, and we do not try to.
What we do not collect
- Your files or any part of their content.
- Filenames, file sizes, or metadata about files you process.
- Conversion results or downloads.
All processing happens using your device's own CPU and browser APIs (Canvas, WebAssembly, JavaScript). The results are created locally and downloaded directly to your device.
What Cloudflare Pages collects
Latch is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. When you visit the site, Cloudflare's infrastructure records standard server access data: your IP address, user-agent string, the page requested, and the timestamp. This is typical of any web server and is not specific to Latch.
These logs are used for security, abuse prevention, and uptime monitoring. They are not linked to individuals, not sold, and not used for advertising. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.
Cookies
Latch currently sets no cookies and uses no tracking scripts. If analytics or advertising are added in future, this policy will be updated before any such scripts are enabled, and a compliant consent banner will be shown to visitors in the UK and EU.
Analytics
There is no analytics at this time. If lightweight, privacy-respecting analytics are added later (for example, aggregate page-view counts with no individual tracking), this policy will be updated to describe them.
Third-party scripts
Latch loads fonts from Google Fonts. Google may record that your browser requested a font file; see Google's privacy policy. No other third-party scripts are loaded.
Your rights (UK & EU)
Because we do not collect personal data beyond standard Cloudflare server logs (which we do not control or process ourselves), there is no personal data held by Latch for you to access, correct, or erase. If you have questions, contact us at the address below.
Children
Latch is a general-purpose utility and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or the relevant age of digital consent in your jurisdiction).
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way — for example, when analytics or ads are introduced — the "last updated" date at the top will change and we will describe what is new. Continued use of the site after a material change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
